Lewis-Upshur Animal Control pleads for help, hosting emergency adoption event
BUCKHANNON, W.Va (WDTV) - The Lewis-Upshur Animal Control Facility is pleading for the public’s help in adopting its animals. The pound is overflowing after record numbers of dogs and cats have been surrendered and seized, officials said, and if the animals are not adopted, some will lose their lives. Their normal rescue partners are also full, so cats and dogs are not being moved, they said.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A Kanawha County grand jury handed down an indictment against a man charged with the shooting death of a Charleston woman in December 2023.
