Chicago Sky Make Huge Announcement Ahead of Fever Matchup
The Indiana Fever's rematch against the Chicago Sky is the most highly-anticipated matchup of the second half of the season. In addition to yet another rookie showdown between Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Sky forward Angel Reese, both teams are fighting to secure a spot in the playoffs. The Fever (15-16) enter the matchup in seventh place with the Sky (11-19) one spot behind. Before the Olympic break, the Fever defeated the Sky 71-10 and 91-82. During their third tilt, Chicago won 88-87. JSD117 Experiencing Space Crunch For Special Education, New Construction Project(s) Being Explored
Jacksonville School District 117 is currently in crisis of having enough special education space. Superintendent Steve Ptacek told the Board of Education last night that Director of Student Services and Special Education Barbie Davidsmeyer had identified the need for 7 additional Special Education classrooms by next school year. The district also has the need to hire 16 fully licensed Special Education teachers, according to its most recent teacher vacancy report. Those 16 spots are currently being filled by long-term substitutes.

Junior Devan Swisher tied for third individually (47) and sophomore Garrett Loschen was fifth (48) on Wednesday (Aug. 28), for the St. Joseph-Ogden golf team, which placed second in a three-school meet at Danville Country Club. Salt Fork (194) won team honors, followed by SJ-O (202) and Schlarman Academy (243).
