Lineup Announced For Field & Stream Music Fest In Winnsboro
(Winnsboro, SC)- The lineup is being unveiled for a new music festival happening this fall. Eric Church and Lainey Wilson will headline the event. Also performing are Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, and several others. Tickets are currently being sold for the festival.

Man charged after dead dogs found in Lexington County home
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Investigators have charged a man with ill treatment of animals after an investigation uncovered dead dogs in his home. According to Lexington County investigators, 40-year-old Robert John Jachim admitted that he left the home on July 2 and didn't return. On Monday, investigators with the Lexington County Animal Services responded to the 5000 block of Corley Street, where they found five dogs inside, only two of which were still alive. Four of the dogs in the home were in wire crates, and the fifth small breed dog was dead in a bathroom. Investigators said none of the dogs had food or water.
South Carolina transportation officials divide additional transportation funding
(The Center Square) — South Carolina transportation officials have approved updates to the state's bridge program, deciding how to allocate $200 million in additional money state lawmakers approved. The South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission directed half the $200 million in one-time funding to bridges on secondary roads. Doctor Shortage Part 1: SC patient says he’s been waiting a year for a surgery
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A major doctor shortage in the Carolinas is impacting patient health. Many are waiting several months or a year to get an appointment. According to data from the Association of American Medical Colleges, the doctor shortage is about twice as bad in the Carolinas and Georiga compared to some northern states. The Carolinas has around 200 active physicians per 100,000 residents. Massachusetts, Maryland, and New York have about 400 active physicians per 100,000 residents. Patients say this is taking a serious toll on their health.
Youth wresting camp starts Monday
In association with the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission, the Irmo Youth Wrestling Club – KingPins will host a Youth Wrestling Camp at the Seven Oaks Gymnasium Facility from Monday, July 22 to Friday, July 26. The camp will run daily from 1 pm to 5 pm and is open to both boys and girls aged 4-17 of all skill levels, with beginners especially welcomed.

The South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) finished fiscal-year 2024 with a 7% bump in container volume moving through the Port of Charleston in June.
