Police: Kan. man dragged woman with vehicle during dispute

KCC to discuss future Evergy transmission projects at virtual public workshop

Junction City Ag Program Honored
Junction City High School FFA Chapter teacher Laura Miller recently claimed the National Association of Agricultural Educators Region II 2024 Teacher Mentor Award. The agriculture program, led by Miller and Ashley Vahsholtz, also received the NAAE Region II 2024 Most Outstanding Middle and Secondary Agricultural Education Program Award. By doing so, they are considered one of the top programs not only in the state of Kansas, but also nationally.
Back to School Carnival is Thursday
Geary USD 475 will host its 2024 Back-To-School Carnival on Thursday, Aug. 1 at Junction City High School. Gates open at 6 p.m. The 2024 carnival will include live performances, carnival games, face painting, free prizes, and free food. Please note that Kona Ice and Bella Hana's Ice Cream and Pastry Shoppe will also be stationed outside the event for anyone who wants to purchase a tasty treat before entering the free carnival.
Library identifies dates for acceptance of curbside items
The Friends of the Dorothy Bramlage Public Library have identified three dates when they will offer the acceptance of curbside donations of items for the annual fall book sale. All dates are Saturdays and include this Saturday, August 3 as well as September 7 and October 5. This service will take place at the north entrance from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
