The husband of a newlywed killed by an alleged drunk driver on their wedding night has been awarded $1.3 million in a settlement approved this week, according to reports.

Aric Hutchinson will reportedly receive $863,300 — after attorney and legal fees — from three bars near Charleston, South Carolina , as well as Progressive auto insurance and Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the death of his bride, Samantha Miller.

Hutchinson sued the businesses after Jamie Lee Komoroski, 26, allegedly crashed an Enterprise rental car into the golf cart Miller, 34, and Hutchinson, 36, were in while driving away from their April 2023 beachside wedding reception.

Hutchinson accused the bars in a wrongful death lawsuit of overserving Komoroski.
