National homebuilder bringing development to Cainhoy area

Pulte Homes has revealed plans for 49 single-family homes in the Cainhoy area near Charleston.

Cedar Glen Preserve will feature homes in a rural setting near waterways and close to Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island, according to a news release.

Sales are expected to open toward the end of this year, with prices starting in the low $400,000s, according to the release. Homebuyers will select from among six one- and two-story floorplans, all with two-car garages. Home designs begin at 1,700 square feet up to more than 3,000 square feet with choices of three-to-five bedrooms and two-to-three baths.

A select number of pond-view homesites will be released first in the 69-acre neighborhood, with nature-inspired amenities planned, including a pocket park with a firepit and walking trails, the release stated.

“Pulte has designed Cedar Glen Preserve for the homebuyer who wants a peaceful, rural lifestyle with the benefit of new construction at an attractive price that’s not usually seen in this area of the Lowcountry,” said Jacob Reynolds, general sales manager for Pulte Homes , in the release. “The added bonus of being near Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island means residents are close to a wide range of shopping, dining, entertainment and beaches.”

The community will showcase the professionally decorated Hartwell, designed for those who want flexibility, the release stated. The three-bedroom floorplan with an option for a fourth bedroom features a first-floor owner’s suite in the back of the home.

Homebuyers can choose to add a covered lanai alongside the grilling patio for more outdoor living and entertaining space, the release stated. Upstairs, the Hartwell features two additional bedrooms, a full bath and loft area that can double as a game room, kids play zone or become a fourth bedroom, the release stated.
