CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County will honor its fallen EMS workers with a memorial service at Brittlebank Park on Tuesday.

Charleston County Council Vice Chair, SC state Rep. Mark Smith, National EMS Memorial Service representatives, South Carolina EMS Association representatives, and Charleston County EMS representatives will honor 36 fallen EMS professionals.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. in Brittlebank Park at 185 Lockwood Drive.

Officials say the National EMS Service Moving Honors will stop in multiple cities throughout July as they travel from Seattle, W.A. to Arlington, V.A. for the Weekend of Honor.
