    Harley Davidson, DDTwo to host charity ride for students in need of support and school supplies

    DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Dorchester School District Two (DDTwo) staff will participate in a charity ride alongside Lowcountry bikers to raise money and gather school supplies for students before fall.

    Lowcountry Harley Davidson will partner with DDTwo Saturday, Aug 3. to host their Fill the Bus Charity Ride and school supplies drive.

    Superintendent Dr. Shane Robbins will participate in the charity ride to champion the cause for DDTwo in this partnership to uplift students in need.

    In a statement released today, a DDTwo representative told News 2 “As the fifth lowest funded district in the state (out of 80 districts), community partnerships are an integral part of DDTwo as they assist in providing every resource possible for all students in their academic journeys.”

    Participants in the charity ride can pay a registration fee or bring school supplies to the fill the bus. Registration is $20 per rider and $15 per passenger – motorcycles only.

    The DDTwo wish list includes personal hygiene and sanitary supplies, disposable culinary tools, paper towels, trash bags, and school supplies.

    Riders, passengers, and supporters are asked to be ready for “kick-stands up” at 11 a.m.

    Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy live music, refreshments, giveaways, and prizes at the after party from 12:30-3 p.m.

    Arrive by 10 a.m. that Saturday to register for the event at Lowcountry Harley Davidson at 4707 Dorchester Rd., Charleston, SC 29405.
