CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Asher Agency will be celebrating a half-century legacy next month, celebrating its success as a full-service marketing, advertising, and public relations agency.

Vice President and General Manager of the Charleston Asher office, Steve Morrison commented on the effectiveness of Asher Agency, stating, “Integration with Asher Agency’s diverse capabilities and multiple offices allows us to better serve our West Virginia clients as well as multiple out-of-state and national accounts.”

Founded in 1974 by Fort Wayne native Tim Borne, Asher Agency was established as a marketing, advertising, and public relations services provider. The agency now stands as the second-oldest agency in Indiana and boasts over 40 employees as well as over 100 clients across the country.

“Asher has always been known for outstanding service, smart strategy, and groundbreaking creative,” said owner and President Kara Kelley. “That’s still our focus today.”

In 2023, the agency became an Indiana Women’s Business Enterprise , which according to Chief Financial Officer Megan Bennett, is indicative of the employer’s priorities.

“Only one percent of U.S. agencies are women-owned,” she says. “Less than ten percent of businesses make it to their 50th anniversary. We’re proud to be among them, and to provide outstanding career and leadership opportunities.”

Tom Borne served as President of Asher Agency from 1988 to 2020 and has expressed enthusiasm at the projected future of the organization.

“My brother Tim would be extremely proud of what Asher has become,” he says. “The agency can compete with anyone, anywhere in terms of serving clients’ needs. They truly are the best of the best.”

Kelley makes note of the effectiveness with which Asher serves its clientele, which translates to impactful results from a business standpoint.

“We serve clients in ways that positively impact their communities, their employees, and the overall economy,” says Kelley. “Exceeding their expectations is as enjoyable today as it was when I started my career.”

Asher Agency will continue the 50th anniversary celebration with several events and community outreach projects set to take place throughout the year.
