    Senior Expo returns to Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center after pandemic hiatus

    CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — The first Donna L. Skeen Senior Expo since the pandemic is taking place at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.

    Multiple vendors are set up to provide resources for seniors in need. There is also entertainment, bingo and raffles set throughout the day.

    The event kicked off Thursday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a message from Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV).

    The expo is hosted in honor of Donna Skeen, an advocate for the aged and disabled.

    “She cared so much about these individuals and these communities and devoted her life to helping them,” said Jenna Skeen, the event organizer and daughter of Donna Skeen.

    The Expo runs Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
