CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — From dog collar pouches to unique hair styling tools to glow-in-the-dark teddy bear clothing, kids had the opportunity to present inventions they created in a way similar to the popular TV series, “Shark Tank.”

The event was held at the Clay Center in Charleston. Participants have been working since Monday on their inventions and got to pitch them on Friday.

However, instead of requesting money from the judges, they will be requesting votes, supplied by the parents as well as Clay Center employees.

“It’s been really fun,” said fifth-grader Robert Ruby. “Our teachers and everyone has just helped us so much and all of our friends have just helped us, so that’s great!”
