FlingGolf introduced at West Virginia State Parks

CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia State Parks will be introducing an exciting new activity called FlingGolf, which combines elements of lacrosse and golf to provide a dynamic and enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.

The West Virginia Department of Natural Resources and State Parks will be launching FlingGolf at five state parks this year: Cacapon, Canaan, Pipestem, Stonewall, and Twin Falls.

The project has been led by Jonathan Bellingham, a West Virginia native and International Fling Golf Ambassador, in collaboration with the state. These parks are now fully prepared to offer FlingGolf, with daily play available throughout the golf season.

Additionally, each park will be hosting demonstration events and tournaments until October 5 to showcase this thrilling sport.

Upcoming demo events are scheduled for the following dates:

– August 3 – Twin Falls Resort State Park

– September 15 – Pipestem Resort State Park

– October 5 – Cacapon Resort State Park

Brett McMillion, Director of the WV Division of Natural Resources, expressed excitement about the new activity, stating that it’s family-friendly and integrates well with traditional golf.

For those interested in trying FlingGolf, equipment rentals and lessons will be available at the listed state parks. Visitors are encouraged to contact the pro shop at the park they plan to visit.
