    Kidaroo’s indoor playground in Charleston closes permanently

    CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – A local business has closed its doors for good.

    Kidaroo’s in Charleston announced its official closure on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The business says they were not making enough revenue to remain open.

    Known as the largest indoor playground in the state, Kidaroo’s opened in September 2017 along MacCorkle Avenue. In a Facebook post announcing their closure, the staff thanked the community and the Tri-State for their support throughout the years.

    “Kidaroo’s will hold in their hearts the memories of the children’s smiles as they celebrated 1st birthdays to many more, field trips and special occasions,” business officials said on Facebook. “Kidaroo’s would also like to thank the many staff and managers who made Kidaroo’s possible over the years. The special nights for sensory sensitivities children, holiday events and contests, bringing fun to many children in the Tri-State area.”

    The company says the customers who have scheduled parties should receive their deposits back in the mail sometime this week. They also say anyone who has purchased a 50/50 can go to halfoffhelp.com to get an exchange.
