    CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The National Weather Service in Charleston forecasts a dry end to the weekend under the influence of surface high pressure.

    According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Charleston, as the new work week begins, temperatures are expected to rise, with highs reaching the mid-90s in lower elevations.

    A weak cold front is anticipated late Tuesday afternoon or evening, potentially bringing light rain to the northern areas.

    Later in the week, the region may experience effects from the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby, with the best chances for beneficial rainfall occurring in the mountainous regions, according to the NWS.
