South Charleston Man Sentenced for Fentanyl Distribution After Extensive Investigation
A comprehensive investigation led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Charleston, along with several federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, culminated in a significant conviction. Timothy Brian Jackson, a 44-year-old from South Charleston, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for his involvement in the distribution of fentanyl.

West Virginia highlights importance of back-to-school vaccines
For the upcoming school year, all children entering school in West Virginia grades K-12 must show proof of immunization against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B unless a medical exemption is approved by DH. Additional proof of immunization is required for children entering grades 7 and 12 for diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and meningococcal disease unless a medical exemption is approved by DH.
