CHARLEVOIX — For those seeking live music and family-friendly events this summer, the annual Worship on the Farm weekend is set for Aug. 2-4.

This event, held at 9888 Major Douglas Sloan Road in Charlevoix, offers a blend of live music, kid-friendly activities, food trucks and camping, attracting hundreds of attendees from across the state.

The event, organized in collaboration with local churches from Harbor Springs, East Jordan and Cheboygan, kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 with a variety of youth activities. The rest of the weekend features a lineup of musicians and speakers focused on faith, including performances by Brad Stuart, Second Story, Mighty Joe, Harbor Light Worship, Pastor Matt, Pastor Brant Cole, DJ Chamberlain D4D1D, Lyl Dia, Life Worship, Josh Mayes and Liz Midkiff.

Rustic camping is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. While there is no fee to attend the event, donations are welcome, and no registration is required.

Hosted in collaboration with Radical4Him Ministries, Worship on the Farm aims to provide opportunities for worship and connection in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Farm owner Rebecca Berg emphasizes that she wants everyone to be able to attend, regardless of their financial situation.

“We want people to know they can donate, we appreciate the donations. But I hope that people know they don’t have to pay — and some people don’t, and that’s OK because we want them to come. If they have three or four kids and are needing to put food on the table ... so that’s why we do it this way,” she said.
