Fun in the sun at Aquapalooza

CHARLEVOIX — Aquapalooza kicked off the weeklong Venetian Festival on Saturday, bringing together families, friends and community members for a day of fun in the sun at Ferry Beach.

The day's activities included plenty of fun both on the beach and in the water.

The volleyball courts were bustling with action as players of all ages and skill levels competed, while plenty of attendees also participated in games of cornhole.

In the water, colorful inflatables and floats were dotted amongst the wading crowd. People lounged, swam and splashed around in Lake Charlevoix for hours.

The pier was another focal point of the event, where adventurous kids took leaps into the lake. Groups of friends and families also set themselves up under umbrellas and tents, sharing meals and drinks.
