Postino WineCafe , the all-day restaurant and wine café known for its cult-like following, welcoming hospitality, and inspired spaces, is opening its doors in Charlotte at 15210 Bowl Street, Suite 103 .

Scheduled to open in Summer 2024 at The Bowl at Ballantyne, this new 5,213-square-foot restaurant will have 198 seats, including a 56-seat outdoor patio, according to a press release. Customers can expect Postino’s warm culture, eclectic design, and menus that appeal to all. Postino has become synonymous with serving as the perfect date spot with everyday happy hour and gathering space for friends and family to catch up over great food and drink.

Offering an ever-changing selection of boutique wines, craft brews, and cocktails, paired with a decked-out menu of bruschetta, panini, salads, and a lineup of crave-worthy charcuterie boards and shareable, the Postino team is dreaming up a one-of-a-kind kicked backspace served up with a sophisticated twist. Postino WineCafé draws its name from the Italian word for postman – an homage to the former 1940s post office where the first Postino was born over 20 years ago –. Still, each location is unique to the neighborhood and community in which it lives.

Accordingly, the idea of bringing the concept to Charlotte began with discovering the perfect destination within this vibrant community. Located in the suburbs of the city and minutes from South Carolina, Ballantyne’s lush, southern scenery, ever-developing campus, and thriving business landscape make it the perfect home for the restaurant. Postino is excited to introduce a new neighborhood hangout to the new heart of the Carolinas, where ‘Drinking Wine At Lunch Is Not a Crime.’

“As one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, it’s clear that there is so much to love about the Charlotte area: from the sense of modern sophistication to the bustling streets and dynamic arts and culture scene,” Postino Co-Founder and CEO Lauren Bailey said in a press release. “And we are so lucky to have found the perfect space at The Bowl at Ballantyne , which, without a doubt, will become the ultimate destination for dining, shopping, and entertainment as it continues to grow. We couldn’t be more eager to dive into the passionate Queen City community.”

Postino hallmarks include sophisticated mid-century modern furniture sourced from local vintage shops, quirky found objects and showstopping art installations, rollup garage doors, custom walnut wine walls, and get-your-shazam-ready playlists that keep the good times rolling. Plus, what makes Postino special, their simple yet powerful mission to “Make People Feel Good.”

Open daily for lunch and dinner, Postino proudly pours a wide variety of North Carolina craft brews alongside more than 30 wines by the glass. Plus, Postino offers delicious daily specials and a $25 Bottle & Board on Monday and Tuesday (a bottle of wine and a board of bruschetta for only $25).

“Becoming a part of the fabric of a neighborhood is always our goal, and really, what better fit for Postino than an idyllic community that includes an outdoor music amphitheater, green spaces, and amazing neighboring tenants,” Bailey says. “We can’t wait to welcome our new neighbors and friends here at The Bowl at Ballantyne and feel so fortunate to be surrounded by such crazy, good company.”
