    CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — As Independence Day nears, there are many ways to celebrate in the Charlotte area and beyond.

    Fourth of July may still be several days away, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait until then for fun-filled events and amazing fireworks shows!

    There are numerous activities and fireworks happening across the Charlotte area for the upcoming long Independence Day weekend next week.

    Events and Fireworks Shows

    Mount Holly Fireworks Celebration – June 27

    • Fireworks provided by PyroShows
    • Roving Performers by Surefire Entertainment
    • Been Tent provided by the Mount Holly Athletic Association
    • Zid Zone

    Mount Holly Fireworks Celebration – June 27

    • 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
    • Come on down to historic downtown Mount Holly for the annual fireworks celebration
    • Downtown South Main Street in Mount Holly
    • Music, kids sone, food trucks, and vendors

    Crossroad Cinema Series at Camp North End – June 27 and July 4

    • Free outdoor movies from the 80s, 90s, and 00s
    • Grab your friends, bring your chair, and enjoy a fun night of movies under the stars, plus free retro arcade games
    • Remember to pick up tasty camp food and drink beforehand for the full dinner-and-a-show experience
    • June 27: Charlie’s Angels. The next show on July 4th: Miss Congeniality

    Indian Land Fireworks Extravaganza – June 28

    • Friday, June 28, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
    • Join the Indian Land community for an unforgettable display of lights, colors, and magic on June 28 at the Indian Land School Complex
    • Bring your family and friends for a sparkling evening under the stars

    Sounds of Summer Concert Series, Bessemer City – June 28

    • Julio and the Saltines, Fourth of July Celebration
    • Centennial Park in downtown Bessemer City
    • Entertainment, food, classic car show and family fun
    • Concert starts at 6 p.m.

    Cramerton July Fourth celebration – June 29

    • Saturday, June 29
    • Centennial Center
    • 6 p.m., fireworks begin around 9 p.m.
    • Free to the public

    Troutman Independence Day Parade – June 29

    • Parade starts at 11 a.m.
    • Parade will travel down Hwy 21/Main St, and end at the American Legion/ Troutman Elementary School area at Cedar Lane
    • Free event with over 150 units in the parade including floats, music, marching units, church groups, civic organizations, scout troops, motorcycles, military units, horses, and more

    Charlotte Symphony: Celebrate America! – June 30

    • The event starts at 8:15 p.m.
    • Symphony Park, 4400 Sharon Road
    • A limited number of reserved lawn spaces for two are available for this concert! Reserve your space today.

    Cherryville Independence Day Celebration – July 3

    • Independence Day Celebration
    • Wednesday, July 3, 2024, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
    • Rudisill Stadium, Cherryvuille
    • Food, fun, and fireworks

    Fourth of July Events and Fireworks Shows

    SkyShow – Charlotte’s 4th of July fireworks celebration, Knights Game – July 4

    • Skyshow will take place at Truist Field, after game against Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp
    • Game starts at 6:35 p.m.
    • Fireworks to follow after the game
    • Tickets are on sale now

    Gastonia Fourth of July Celebration – July 4

    • The celebration will be held at the Rotary Centennial Pavilion at 111 N. South Street
    • 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
    • Rides, games, face painting, food trucks, alcohol
    • Trace Casanova performing 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
    • The Black and Blue Experience performing 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

    Red, White & Belmont Celebration – July 4

    • Event from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
    • Held at Stowe Park Upper Field
    • Food trucks, a DJ, live music by 8oz Nation, vendors

    Stars & Stripes on Main parade in Mooresville – July 4

    • The event begins at 10 a.m.
    • Annual Stars and Stripes on Main Parade in the heart of Downtown Mooresville
    • This high-energy, patriotic celebration will get you in the community spirit as local residents, businesses and organizations come together to honor our nation’s heritage

    Waxhaw Independence Day Parade – July 4

    • The event starts at 10 a.m.
    • Watch as floats, bands, and horses trot down the streets of Downtown Waxhaw

    4th of July at Birkdale Village in Huntersville – July 4

    • The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Birkdale Commons Pkwy & Sam Furr Road, Huntersville
    • Enjoy the annual bike parade and wet down by the Huntersville Fire Department. A block party with exciting activities will follow after the wet down
    • 11:45 a.m. Celebrate with a block party in The Plaza featuring face painting, balloon twisters, magicians, and more

    Tega Cay 4th of July Celebration – July 4 through July 6

    • Honoring our Nation’s 248th Birthday and Tega Cay’s 42nd anniversary with a 3-day celebration featuring parades, a concert, ski show, fish fry, and more
    • July 4: Parade kicks off at 9 a.m., Fish Fry starts at 4:40 p.m.
    • July 4: ‘Boom in the Cay’ Fireworks starts at 9 p.m.

    Carowinds Star-Spangled Nights Fireworks Spectacular – July 3 and July 4

    • Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. each night
    • Make sure to catch Carowinds’ Star-Spangled Nights Fireworks Spectacular, on July 3 and 4, as we celebrate Independence Day with a breathtaking patriotic fireworks show
    • Experience a fireworks display synchronized to the stirring tunes of patriotic music

    Town of Matthews Independence Day Celebration – July 3 and July 4

    • Fireworks Spectacular, July 3, launch at 9 p.m.
    • From the Meck County SportsPlex at Matthews
    • Independence Day Celebration, July 4, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
    • Stumptown Park
    • Food trucks, kids’ activities, and patriotic fun
    • Seaboard Brewing on-site
    • 20Ride, Zac Brown tribute band plays from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

    U.S. National Whitewater Center 4th of July Celebration – July 3 and July 4

    • Live music, 5K trail race, yoga, and night ops
    • The festivities span over two days with live music, night ops, races, multiple yoga practices and more
    • July 3: Live music at 6:30 p.m., Open Level Flow at 6:30 p.m., Live music again at 8:30 p.m., Night Ops at 8:30 p.m.
    • July 4: Tread, White and Blue 5K Trail Race at 8 a.m., live music starts at 5 p.m.,

    Revolutionary Fourth – Kings Mountain – July 4

    • The event starts at 6 p.m.
    • Deal Park Walking Track, located at 211 North Cleveland Avenue
    • Music, fun activities, food vendors
    • Special reenactment of the Battle of Kings Mountain
    • Fireworks at night

    Red, White & Brew Fest Weekend – July 4 through July 7

    • The event starts at 7 p.m.
    • Brewers at 4001 Yancey
    • 4001 Yancey Road, Charlotte
    • July 4: Kids eat free. Stop by for a beer and meal on July 4, and with the purchase of any full-priced meal, you’ll receive one free kids meal.
    • July 5: Brewers Giveback and $10 growler fills
    • July 6: Red, White & Brew Fest. Live music, yard games, and more.
    • July 7: $5 Crowler fills

    City of Monroe Fourth of July Celebration – July 4

    • The event is from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
    • Downtown Monroe, Main Street
    • Live music, bounce houses, food vendors and more
    • Fireworks start at dark

    Independence Day at the Charlotte Museum of History – July 4

    • The event is open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • 3500 Shamrock Drive in Charlotte
    • Join a group of new United States citizens as they complete the Oath and Naturalization Ceremony at the Charlotte Museum of History
    • In this annual celebration, the museum will welcome new Americans with music, a keynote address, and opportunities for voter registration and education
    • Free to the public, pre-registration is highly encouraged

    Indian Trail July 4th Parade – July 4

    • The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
    • Starts at Indian Trail Road
    • The parade will step off at Post Office Drive and travel down Indian Trail Road
    • Wear your red, white, and blue and enjoy a parade full of floats, walkers, and more

    Fourth of July Vintage Market in Charlotte – July 4

    • The event runs from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
    • Urban District Market at 2315 North Davidson Street in Charlotte
    • Free event, food/drink purchases are on your own

    Red, White & Belmont – July 4

    • The event runs from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
    • Stowe Park – Upper Field
    • DJ starts at 6 p.m., band runs from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
    • Fireworks show at 10 p.m.
    • Beverage garden and food trucks
    • Free to attend, bring your lawn chairs or blankets

    Lincolnton 4th of July Celebration – July 4

    • 6:30 p.m., streets close
    • LFD Spray Zone at N Academy
    • 8:30 p.m. Parade downtown – East Main to Court Square to Lincolnton HS
    • 9:30 p.m. fireworks

    Taste of the Caribbean/Africa – July 6

    • The event is from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
    • Come experience the diverse and delicious flavors of the Caribbean and Africa at their in-person event
    • 1600 W Trade Street, Charlotte
