Hours before it was slated to begin, Morgan Wallen announced the cancellation of his Friday concert in Tampa.

The country music artist cited a health issue as the reason for calling off the July 12th performance on his "One Night At A Time" tour. "I hate to reschedule shows but I powered through being sick in Tampa last night, and unfortunately woke up feeling way worse today," Wallen stated on Facebook. "I would not give you guys anywhere near 100% tonight."

Fans replied on X and made it clear they were unhappy with the timing with one fan posting "Thanks for the last minute notice!! I just threw a char at the local bar...[expletive]!!"

The canceled show at Raymond James Stadium has been rescheduled to October 4. Additionally, Wallen's upcoming performances in Charlotte, North Carolina, have been moved to October 18 and 19.

Jelly Roll, the opening act for Wallen, also altered his plans following the announcement. He took to X to inform his fans: "TAMPA! Dallas Bull tonight—doors open at 7 pm. If you have a ticket to the show, you get in for free. (This is for ticket holders only) FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE."

Wallen reiterated his regret over the change in plans on Twitter, expressing his inability to perform at his best due to his health. "I hate to reschedule shows but I powered through being sick in Tampa last night, and unfortunately woke up feeling way worse today. I would not give you guys anywhere near 100% tonight and as a result, I need to move tonight's Tampa show to Oct. 4 and next week's Charlotte shows to Oct. 18 and 19," his tweet read.

He confirmed that the Charlotte shows will now take place on the new dates in October, alongside the rescheduled Tampa event.

Live Nation, the concert promoter, assured that all tickets previously purchased for the July 18 and July 19 concerts in Charlotte will be honored on the rescheduled dates of October 18 and 19, respectively. Additional details will be sent directly to ticket holders via email.

Information regarding ticket refunds was not immediately provided.

This cancellation follows another recent withdrawal by Willie Nelson , who had to call off his performance at the Outlaw Music Festival in Charlotte. Citing health concerns, Nelson was advised by doctors to rest for the next few days after not feeling well.
