    Second arrest made in murder of 35-year-old Charlotte man: CMPD

    CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A second arrest has been made in connection to the murder of a 35-year-old man, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

    Andre Pool, 25, was taken into custody on Thursday, July 11, and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

    In late June, authorities also arrested a 17-year-old in this homicide case and charged the teen with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and vehicle theft.

    The deadly shooting happened shortly before 4 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, in the 4300 block of Old Interstate Road in northeast Charlotte.

    As CMPD officers arrived at the scene, they found Howard Page, 35, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he passed away.

    The investigation into this homicide case is active and ongoing, CMPD said. Anyone with additional information is asked to call 704-432-TIPS.
