The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was shot during an altercation outside of an uptown business in June, the department said Tuesday.

In a press release, CMPD identified Aundrey Brown, 30, as the victim. He and three others were shot near the 600 block of North Tryon Street just after 2 a.m. on June 8.

Brown, another man and two women were involved in the altercation outside of the business after being denied entry, police said surveillance video showed.

Brown had life-threatening injuries, and the other man and two women had non-life-threatening injuries, police said. All four were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Brown died on July 8, police said Tuesday.
