CHARLOTTE ( PINPOINT WEATHER ) — We are tracking yet another day of very warm and humid conditions with scattered showers and storms developing during the afternoon hours and continuing into the evening hours with locally heavy rain with a chance of some isolated flooding. Highs Wednesday afternoon will be in the upper 80s.

More of the same is expected for Thursday and Friday with scattered afternoon showers and storms with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

INTERACTIVE RADAR: Tracking scattered showers, storms across Charlotte here

This week looks potentially drier with less storm coverage during the afternoon hours. Highs this weekend should be in the mid-80s with continued mugginess.

Unfortunately, more showers and storms are expected next week as our active weather will roll on for the region.

FLOOD WATCHES are in effect for Chesterfield, Anson, Stanly, and Richmond counties until Thursday evening.
