    Pinpoint Weather Alert: Strong storms possible around Charlotte Monday

    CHARLOTTE ( PINPOINT WEATHER ) — Mostly cloudy skies and spotty showers kick off the work week with temperatures locked into the 70s and 60s. Winds will be light but be on the lookout for patchy fog and potentially wet roadways for your morning commute.

    WEATHER ALERTS: Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued across the Charlotte region

    Highs will make a run for the mid-80s as skies stay mostly cloudy and winds flow out of the southwest. Storms will be possible through the peak heating hours of the day with the potential to pack a punch in the form of damaging winds.

    We will have a marginal risk for Severe Weather for much of our area with a Marginal Risk for Flash Flooding today with the storm chances lasting into Tuesday as well.

    Look for overnight lows to dip into the low 70s before the upper 80s slide in for the second day of the work week. We’ll heat up as rain chances come down with low 90s on tap for Wednesday.

    Thursday and Friday will be HOT with highs peaking in the mid-90s! Storm chances take a break ahead of a cold front that arrives in time for the weekend. This will keep highs in the low 90s and upper 80s for Saturday and Sunday with afternoon storm chances coming back.
