Decision time is near for elite offensive tackle David Sanders Jr., the top player at the position in the 2025 cycle.
Sanders (6-foot-6, 290 pounds) hails from Charlotte, N.C. and plays for Providence Day School. The five-star prospect is rated as the No. 1 OT, the No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina and the No. 3 recruit overall, per 247Sports.
Sanders earned North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year honors after playing two ways for NCISAA Division I state champion Providence Day. In addition to playing tackle, Sanders racked up 32 quarterback hurries, 24 tackles, 4.0 sacks, 2 pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on defense.
Sanders is considering Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee and Nebraska. He has set a commitment date for Aug. 17 at 12:30 p.m. ET, according to multiple reports on Monday.

Sanders has had a busy spring and summer, taking official visits to his final schools. He also visited Alabama and Tennessee twice, but Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee and Nebraska set themselves apart.
It's unclear who holds the lead at this point, but we won't have to wait long to hear Sanders' decision. Whichever team that is named is getting one of the best players in the country.
