CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Carowinds has announced a set of new additions to its area theme park that will debut in 2025. It’s the first major expansion announcement since the merger of Carowinds’ parent company Cedar Fair with Six Flags Parks.

The park will get a new Snoopy’s Racing Railway roller coaster for guests of all ages and a Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast interactive raft ride with water cannons. Enhancements will also be made at Splash Play Zones and Camp Store Meet-and-Greet Experiences.

“We’re excited to introduce the latest adventures in Camp Snoopy in 2025,” Manny Gonzalez, vice president and general manager for Carowinds said in a released statement. “Our re-imagined Camp Snoopy will allow families to ride and play together, immersing them in a summer camp experience with the Peanuts gang. From the thrilling twists of Snoopy’s Racing Railway to the splashes at Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast, our focus is on family fun.”

The new company is keeping the Six Flags name but moving its headquarters from Ohio to Charlotte. Executives said new additions to Carowinds in 2025 will offer “more fun and memorable moments for guests.”
