    NC polling sites in Charlotte area see long lines as early voting starts for 2024 election

    North Carolina on Thursday started in-person early voting for the 2024 general election with lines at polling places .

    Early voting will continue until Saturday, Nov. 2. Dates, locations and times for early voting vary because each county board of elections sets its own schedule.

    To find early voting sites in any county, visit vt.ncsbe.gov/EVSite . To check your registration, see your sample ballot and find your Election Day polling place, visit vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup .

    Early voting numbers for the first day won’t be totaled until Monday evening after sites close for the day. The Mecklenburg County Board of Elections posts daily early voting totals on its website.
