Patsy “Patty” Ann (Johnson) Jackson born June 5, 1955, died at home surrounded by her family on July 16, 2024.
She is preceded in death by Carl and Florence Johnson.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 52 years, Jimmy, one daughter, Holly (Ryan) Brady, And one son, Cory (Diana) Jackson. She was “Nanny” to Victoria, Devin (Hailey), Caleb and Chloe Riley, and Reygan, Cooper and Elijah Jackson and “G-ma” to Easton, Cheyenne, Raiden, Charlotte and Nazjir, who all survive.
She is also survived by her siblings: Jean McShane (Don), David Johnson (Connie), and Mike (Marilyn) Johnson, as well as a large host of close extended family and friends.
Nanny was our queen bee. She wore bright lipstick and big earrings. She spread joy with her infectious laugh and sparkling baby blues. She liked shopping on weekends and riding back roads in her purple jeep, Mrs. Gladys. More than that, Nanny loved her family and every moment with them and spent time with them every chance she could.
Nanny never settled in life, and believed in hard work. Ever the southern lady, she was quick to offer fresh coffee, and good conversation to anyone who entered her home. Nanny was known to be honest and fair to all who knew her. And as Nanny would tell her kids and grandkids “remember this face.” When you’re sad or scared, or don’t know how you’ll go on, “remember this face” and the woman who loved you so.
In celebrating Patty’s life, we invite you to share your memories and photos of her on the memorial page.
