Clarksville police seeking attempted murder, robbery suspect
The man sought by the Clarksville Police Department on attempted murder charges after failing to appear in court last week has turned himself in as of Wednesday morning. According to a news release, 18-year-old Kwamey Sykes failed to appear before the Montgomery County Circuit Court, where he is facing charges of especially aggravated robbery, attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony. The charges stem from a shooting that occurred on July 23, 2023 where a 15-year-old juvenile was shot on Eagles Bluff Drive.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A shooting on Battery Lane in Nashville sent one person to the hospital Wednesday morning. Metro Nashville Police responded to a reported shooting on Battery Lane in the Oak Hill neighborhood just after 5:30 a.m. Authorities say that one person was taken from the scene who was seriously hurt. Their condition is not known at this time but MNPD says that they were alert and speaking with first responders when they were transported to the hospital.
