TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. — A mosquito group in Tippecanoe County has tested positive for West Nile Virus. According to a news release, the Tippecanoe County Health Department received a phone call from the Indiana Department of Health on July 29. 2024 notifying them that the virus had been detected in a mosquito group found in the county on July 9, 2024.

(Richmond, IN)--This year’s Reid Ride, which is coming up on August 10, will be the last. In a statement Monday, Reid did not indicate specifically why the event was coming to an end but did indicate that they will move next year to celebrate wellness in a different way. The Reid Ride began in 2009 with bicyclists pedaling across Wayne County. In that time, more than 7000 riders have helped to raise more than three quarters of a million dollars to purchase more than 20,000 pairs of shoes. Reid says it will release more information about its new event in the months ahead.
