On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. until approximately 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24th, the Water & Sewer Division will be performing overnight hydrant flow testing in the vicinity of the Lakeway Commons Business District located at 193 Boston Turnpike. This work includes flowing water through a hydrant, which could lead to discolored water in the area.

Shots rang out early Sunday on Fairmont Street in Cambridgeport, police said, the eighth gunfire incident the city has seen this year. In a message to residents of the Cambridgeport and Riverside neighborhoods on Monday, police said they responded to reports of gunfire at 38 Fairmont St. at 1:24 a.m. A police log entry reports that two shell casings were found by detectives, and scanner reports showed they came from an alleyway between a neighboring apartment building.
Ashland man dies after motorcycle collides with car at intersection in Holliston
HOLLISTON — An Ashland man died Sunday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car, authorities said. Holliston police identified the man as Andrew Palumbo, 62. According to a press release from police, Palumbo was riding the motorcycle at about 7:48 p.m. when it collided with a car near the intersection of Prentice and Mill streets.

CLEVELAND – Great Lakes Brewing Co. (GLBC) announces its distribution expansion into Massachusetts and Rhode Island with Atlantic Beverage. Massachusetts seems to have a law for everything and while it makes sense for some things others are just strange. As we all know the 4th of July recently passed and Massachusetts is the only state that has a law against consumer fireworks including buying, selling, and using. Some folks agree with this law while others think it's complete nonsense. In addition, this law doesn't seem to be enforced in Massachusetts at least not in my area. So, why even have the law if it's not being enforced? Either way, the law is the law.
