Meteor streaks across sky early Friday morning
A meteor streaking across the southeastern Minnesota and North Iowan sky was observed by some KIMT News 3 viewers early Friday morning. Sherry Mueller captured this image of the contrail left behind by the meteor at around 6:15 AM Friday just south of Brownsdale, MN. Mueller noted that a flash of white line appeared to explode several times. The white trail remained in the sky for over 30 minutes.
