Virginia man dead following listeria outbreak
VIRGINIA, USA — A man has died following the recent listeria outbreak, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) reported. National Night Out is a hit

CoSquare reopens after lengthy repairs from car crashing through
The day everyone has been waiting for is finally here…CoSquare in Yanceyville has reopened after extensive cleaning and repairing the building after a vehicle (being pursued by the police along Main Street) lost control and rammed into the building. The driver’s car caught on fire, but he was quickly pulled to safety and the fire extinguished during the March 2024 incident. This is the second time in the last few years that a vehicle has caused so much damage to the building. The driver of a motorcycle was killed when he wrecked.
Crowd enjoys music, food, and fellowship at National Night Out
On Tuesday, August 6, Altavista held its 2024 National Night out at English park from 5 to 9 p.m. There was a great turn out for this event for all ages as well as a great family event. The weather was wonderful, the Embers were sensational, and the food was delicious. Best of all… the event was free to the public.
