    The Tennessee Department of Education announced the finalists for the 2024-25 Tennessee Principal of the Year and Supervisor of the Year awards

    Chattanooga, TN – According to the state officials, these finalists represent the state’s Center of Regional Excellence (CORE) regions, with three candidates chosen from each Grand Division: West, Middle, and East.

    “I am thrilled to honor these individuals as finalists for the Tennessee Principal of the Year and Supervisor of the Year awards,” said Lizzette Reynolds, Commissioner of Education.

    “Your exceptional hard work, dedication, and leadership do not go unnoticed, and I am proud that Tennessee has so many principals and district supervisors committed to student success.”

    The Tennessee Principal of the Year award recognizes school leaders for their outstanding service in education and exceptional leadership, which drives overall improvements in their schools.

    To qualify for this prestigious award, candidates must have at least three years of experience as a principal and a minimum of five years of experience in Tennessee public schools. Additionally, all nominees must demonstrate a proven track record of exceptional gains in student learning.
