    Three people displaced by residential structure fire on E 44th Street Tuesday night

    Chattanooga, TN – According to the statement, Green Shift companies responded to the 2600 block of E 44th Street shortly before 6 PM on August 20, 2024.

    On their way to the scene, firefighters noticed smoke and arrived to find a working residential structure fire.

    Fortunately, all occupants had escaped the home safely.

    Firefighters initiated an interior attack and worked to extinguish the flames, also tackling a fire in the attic by accessing the roof.

    No injuries were reported.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.

    Mutual aid partners provided coverage at fire halls during the incident.

    The following units responded: Engine 14, Engine 5, Engine 9, Ladder 5, Squad 13, Battalion 1, Battalion 3, CFD Investigations, Hamilton County EMS, and CPD.
