Chattanooga, TN – According to the officials, right before 4:30 a.m., Chattanooga Fire Department’s Blue Shift companies were dispatched to the 1700 block of Patriot Lane following reports of a backyard fire spreading rapidly toward the house.

The fire, which began on the decks, quickly spread underneath, leading to a grueling effort by firefighters to keep it from engulfing the entire mansion.

Due to the steep, multi-tiered backyard and complex layout of the home, firefighters faced significant challenges accessing the fire.

Multiple agencies provided assistance, and a second alarm was called to bring additional personnel to the scene.

Firefighters attacked the flames from every angle, working tirelessly to contain the fire and prevent it from entering the structure.

Fortunately, the homeowner and his dogs were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. Smoke from the fire could be seen throughout the area as crews continued their exhausting operation.

Mutual aid partners have been providing coverage at fire stations while the extensive firefighting efforts continue.

Authorities are taking every precaution to protect the firefighters, as the operation remains ongoing.

And some of the other homes had slight damage. With the new agreement by Tennessee Builders Association they can build homes 10 foot apart just think of how many homes could have been badly damaged if these homes were ten foot apart.
