Chattanooga, TN -The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a house fire early Wednesday morning, where a family managed to escape unharmed.

At 5:30 AM on September 25, 2024, Blue Shift companies arrived at the 1300 block of Highcrest Drive to find heavy smoke pouring from the front of the residence.

Fortunately, all occupants were safely outside by the time firefighters arrived.

Firefighters launched a swift and effective offensive attack, quickly bringing the fire under control. Crews then checked for extensions and found additional fire within some of the walls, which they also extinguished.

The Red Cross was called in to assist three adults and four children who were displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation, and no injuries were reported. Multiple units responded to the scene, including Squad 19, Ladder 19, Engine 16, Engine 11, Engine 22, Battalion 1, and Battalion 3.
