    The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has deployed Mobile American Job Centers to assist residents affected by the recent flooding in Northeast Tennessee

    Chattanooga, TN – According to the state officials, these centers have been set up at two Multi-Agency Resource Centers in Elizabethton and Jonesborough, established by the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.

    The MAJCs offer displaced workers air-conditioned facilities with Wi-Fi and laptops to file for state Unemployment Insurance benefits and federal Disaster Unemployment Assistance.

    Staff from TDLWD’s Workforce Services and Unemployment Insurance Division are on-site to help individuals apply for unemployment benefits.

    The MAJCs are available at the following locations:

    – **MARC – Elizabethton**

    1749 Highway 19E, Elizabethton, TN 37643

    – **MARC – Jonesborough**

    306 Forest Dr., Jonesborough, TN 37659

    The centers will operate Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

    Workers in Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Johnson, Unicoi, and Washington counties affected by the flood can receive up to 12 weeks of state benefits, with the possibility of an additional 15 weeks of federal DUA benefits based on eligibility.
