Engine 22 reported visible smoke from Highway 153 and confirmed a working structure fire upon arrival. Shortly after, the fire broke through the roof.</p><p>While establishing a water supply from a nearby hydrant, Squad 19 used their master stream to control the fire’s progress. Crews then entered the building to extinguish the remaining flames. </p><p>All occupants were safely out of the duplex, and two individuals received on-site treatment for injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.</p><p>Multiple units, including Engine 22, Squad 19, Engine 16, Engine 11, Battalion 3, Battalion 1, CPD, HCEMS, and EPB, responded to the scene. The Red Cross is assisting displaced residents from both sides of the duplex, along with their pets.</p></div></body>
