Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, right before 3 a.m. on June 8, 2024, Chattanooga Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the 7200 block of Shallowford Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 36-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County EMS also responded to the scene, and EMS transported the woman to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The CPD Traffic Unit initiated an investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that a Ford F-150, traveling west on Shallowford Road, struck the woman as she attempted to cross the roadway. The vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.

The vehicle in question is a customized Ford F-150 with distinctive bronze or gold paint and aftermarket lighting. The driver is described as a black male who uses a cane when walking.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Chattanooga Police at 423-698-2525 and request to speak with a Traffic Investigator.
