Area Man Arrested in 2020 Criminal Homicide Case
Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, working alongside the 12th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office, the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the Soddy Daisy Police Department, and the Dayton Police Department, have arrested and charged a man in connection with a 2020 homicide.
Armed Robbery at Grundy County Restaurant
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, the 911 center received a call about a possibly injured person at the Miso Hungry Restaurant in Palmer, TN, around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19. However, due to a “significant language barrier,” dispatch only thought a medic was needed.
Fire at Fall Creek Falls
At 2:42 Saturday afternoon, Piney Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire with Spencer Fire-Rescue, Fall Creek Falls Fire Dept, and Cedar Grove Fire Department. The structure was a large shed with many golf carts inside at the Dead Zero Shooting Park. Due to the reported size of the fire and the location, the Dunlap Fire Department and Harrison Ferry Fire Department were also requested for manpower and water.
