Scores and updates from Week 1 of the Cheboygan-area high school football season

Football season officially got underway on Thursday night.

For the Cheboygan area, we saw Inland Lakes cruise to a 70-0 victory over rival Onaway on the road.

In Fife Lake, Pellston opened its campaign with a 54-12 victory over Forest Area on Thursday.

On Friday, new head coach Bill Nesbitt and the Cheboygan Chiefs take the stage for a 7 p.m. season opener against Saranac at home.
