Vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune's Athlete of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 5

CHEBOYGAN – It’s time to vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune’s Athlete of the Week .

Each week, Cheboygan area high school athletes will be eligible for the Athlete of the Week honor. Athlete of the Week polls go live on Tuesday morning and voting closes at 11 p.m. on Thursday night. The athlete of the week will be announced on Friday.

Here’s a look at this week’s nominees:

Eli Chase, Cheboygan Football – Led the Chiefs with nine tackles against Traverse City St. Francis.

Maddie Long, Cheboygan Volleyball – Had a productive game as Cheboygan’s setter in a victory over Charlevoix.

Aidan Fenstermaker, Inland Lakes Football – Finished with 110 rushing yards and a touchdown and 79 passing yards and two touchdowns in a win over Rogers City.

Mikey Sullivan, Mackinaw City Cross Country – Earned a ninth-place finish at the fourth Northern Lakes Conference meet at Boyne Falls.

Marley Szymoniak, Onaway Volleyball – Recorded 12 digs and played a key role in the Cardinals coming back to beat Johannesburg-Lewiston in five sets.

Brady Bonter, Pellston Football – Scored a pair of touchdowns on kickoff returns against Gaylord St. Mary.
