STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) - The rubble that sits at the old Staunton Mall has many frustrated residents are calling for change. In 2021, Staunton EM 2, LLC. purchased the old Staunton Mall and asked tenants in the area to vacate. The company asked for a rezoning of the area so it could demolish the plot and build it anew with a mix of business and residential spaces. The demolition went through, but the construction did not.
