The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics along with other state and local law enforcement agencies conduct a raid on a large marijuana trafficking operation in southern Oklahoma. The raid happened Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at a location near Ardmore as a part of an ongoing investigation into out-of-state black market marijuana trafficking. Investigators discovered the farm was selling as much as one thousand pounds of marijuana at a time to buyers who were then transporting the product to places like New York City, Chicago, and parts of Florida.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is on pace this year to exceed last year's total of 126 inmate deaths, records for the first six months of 2024 show.
