Chehalis’ annual festival is set to take place Saturday, July 27, and will be offering everything from blueberry pancakes to car shows.

The day will begin with a blueberry pancake breakfast at the Lewis County Historical Museum. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. and will cost $7 per person. Kids 7 and under eat for free. Experience Chehalis, the organizers of ChehalisFest, encourage attendees to take a walk through the museum following their breakfast. Admission to the museum is free all day.

A family scavenger hunt will take place during the festival as well. By visiting certain locations around downtown, participants earn an entry in a giveaway of $200 in local gift cards. Many of the locations in the scavenger hunt will also be giving out coupons and free swag. This activity is free and is accomplished by using a mobile phone to scan QR codes. Start the hunt at the mural next to Market Street Bakery.

The annual ChehalisFest car show, hosted by Garbe’s Bar and Grill, kicks off at 9 a.m. with awards being announced at 3 p.m. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Chehalis, the Veterans Memorial Museum and Experience Chehalis.

Live music performances will be held near the car show all day, and adults can enjoy a cool beverage at Garbe’s beer garden. The first 150 cars to register will receive a goodie bag of local swag.

Selfie stations will line Boistfort Street and offer the perfect spot to capture the experience of ChehalisFest. Sidewalk sales, including at downtown local businesses, will feature local products and special sales.

A vendor fair presented by Gemini Events will host booths of artisans, entrepreneurs and small local businesses.

A kid zone will be set up to offer fun for the younger festival goers featuring face painting, arts and crafts, games, balloon animals and nearby food trucks serving up tasty treats. The kid zone is free for attendees.

ChehalisFest’s annual cruise will start at 6 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. Participants are encouraged to congregate at the Veterans Memorial Museum before the cruise begins to meet other drivers and debrief at 5 p.m. A map of the cruise route is available at experiencechehalis.com .
