Fire burning off Keys Road in Yakima
--*Update*-- The latest updates as of 5:47 p.m. is that the fire has burnt about 25 acres, with roughly 60 people working on the fire. The Department of Natural Resources told us it started roughly within 100 yards from the previous Keys Road Fire about two weeks ago. This is a new fire and not a continuation from the previous one.

In a unanimous decision, Bellingham’s City Council has voted to rejoin Whatcom County’s interlocal drug task force. The interlocal task force aims to build a case for prosecuting distributors rather than users. The Bellingham Police Department withdrew from the force in 2020 because of critical staffing shortages.
Fire crews contain wildfire in Douglas County
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wash. — Firefighters have contained a 900-acre wildfire burning near the town of Mansfield in Douglas County. Douglas County Fire District #5 reported local crews were still actively patrolling the perimeter of the Road 11 fire overnight. A State Incident Management Team is expected to take over command of the fire on Friday.
One new Seahawks coach could be one and done in Seattle in 2024
There is a lot of new to the Seattle Seahawks in 2024. Long-time head coach Pete Carroll is gone and so are almost every one of his assistants. The only coach who stayed from Carroll's regime to new head coach Mike Macdonald's is defensive backs coach Karl Scott. The new offensive coordinator is Ryan Grubb and the new defensive coordinator is Aden Durde.
Fourth of July Road Closures in Pullman
There will be several road closures in effect Thursday ahead of the annual Fourth of July Celebration in Sunnyside Park. The City of Pullman will shut down Main Street between Skyline Drive and Old Wawawai Road and the entirety of Cedar Street, including its access point on Skyline Drive, around 4 p.m.
