A trio of restaurants renowned for their barbecue, seafood, and Italian-American fare are currently undergoing significant changes. Floramo’s Wakefield announced its closure via Facebook , with the unaffiliated Main St Grille & Taphouse taking its place. In a separate Facebook post , owner John Floramo hinted at the restaurant’s expansion plans, teasing, “Stay tuned for more Floramo’s openings.” However, the locations of the upcoming restaurants remain undisclosed.

Meanwhile, the original Chelsea location, nestled at 213 Everett Ave , has temporarily closed for renovations. Floramo confirmed that the restaurant will reopen, although a grand reopening date has not yet been disclosed. Floramo’s Malden continues to serve patrons at 229 Centre St, standing as the sole operating Floramo’s restaurant for the time being.

Founded in 1984 by Tommy and Pat Floramo, the restaurant boasts a diverse array of homemade cuisine, with its juicy ribs earning them the slogan, “Where the meat falls off the bone.” Alongside an extensive selection of meat and seafood dishes, Floramo’s also offers subs, burgers, wraps, and pasta options.

Watch for further updates as the grand reopening of Floramo’s Chelsea unfolds, and stay tuned for more details on the undisclosed locations.
