Syracuse, N.Y. — More than 1,000 people were without power near Syracuse after storms blew through the region Monday evening. The outages were concentrated in the northern suburban towns of Clay and Salina, according to National Grid’s website. Power was expected to be restored to the 1,290 affected customers around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
