Cherokee County remains one of the fastest growing counties in the Atlanta region, but its growth rate has slowed to under 2%, according to numbers from the Atlanta Regional Commission. Cherokee County History Center Offering Free Admission to Educators
Throughout the month of July, History Cherokee is offering those working in education free admission to the Cherokee County History Center. Educators visiting the center will need to show a school ID. Friends and family visiting the center with an educator will be admitted for $5 per person. This offer is available to all teachers, school administration and support staff at all public and private educational institutions. The History Center is located at at 221 E. Marietta St. in downtown Canton. History Cherokee’s Teachers Free Admission month is sponsored by the Cobb EMC Foundation and American Book Company.
Service League Awards Scholarships to Cherokee County High School Grads
The Service League of Cherokee County recently awarded scholarships to 35 graduating seniors from local high schools.
